CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y.,
March 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/
-- BioHiTech Global, Inc. ("BioHiTech" or the "Company")
(NASDAQ: BHTG), a technology and services company that provides
cost-effective and sustainable waste management solutions,
announced today that the Company has received initial purchase
orders for its Revolution Series Digesters totaling over
$1.5 million as part of its
previously announced purchase contract with Carnival Corporation,
the world's largest leisure travel company, and its individual
operating companies (collectively "Carnival") with an estimated
value of up to $14 million.
The Company expects to begin delivery of these units in the
second quarter and to continue filling orders on a rolling basis
through 2021. As previously announced, the purchase contract
calls for BioHiTech to provide each ship, designated by Carnival,
with multiple Revolution Series Digesters as well as ongoing
cloud-based data analytics and supplies. BioHiTech's
Revolution Series Digesters will help reduce the environmental
impact of Carnival's operations by safely disposing of food waste
on-site, limiting the amount of greenhouse gases emitted from
conventional processing systems. The Company's data analytics
platform will also provide real-time supply chain transparency to
help in Carnival's food waste reduction efforts.
"We are pleased to have received these initial purchase orders
from Carnival as we enter the execution phase of this important
contract," said Frank E. Celli, CEO
of BioHiTech Global. "We look forward to delivering the products
and services to assist Carnival with their ongoing efforts to
reduce greenhouse gasses and achieve important sustainability
goals."
