ADP's 2Q Revenue Slips Slightly; Earnings About Flat From Year Earlier

Automatic Data Processing Inc.'s profit was about flat from a
year earlier in the second quarter as revenue fell less than
1%.
ADP's earnings were $647.5 million, or $1.51 a share. They were
about flat from earnings of $651.6 million, or $1.50 a share, a
year ago.
Adjusted earnings, the company said, were $1.52 a share.
Analysts, according to FactSet, were expecting $1.29 a share.
Revenue slipped by less than 1%, to $3.7 billion. Analysts were
expecting $3.57 billion. Revenue from PEO Services rose from a year
ago but revenue from Employer Services--which brings in more
revenue for the company--fell slightly.
