China Pressures Netherlands to Allow ASML Chip Machine Export -Financieele Dagblad

--Sino-Dutch relations will be negatively affected if the Netherlands continues to block the export of ASML's advanced EUV machine for political reasons, China's ambassador to the Netherlands, Xu Hong, tells Dutch business daily Financieele Dagblad.

--Mr. Hong was responding to media reports that the Dutch government is blocking the export of the EUR120 million machine--used in chip manufacturing--following heavy pressure from the U.S., FD reports.

--U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo personally urged Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to block the sale because of "security risks" according to a Reuters report, but an official decision by the Netherlands' Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pending, FD reports.
