-- Jason Oberfest, the co-founder and former chief executive of Mango Health, has joined Apple Inc. (AAPL), CNBC reported Friday.

-- According to the report, Apple declined to comment on Mr. Oberfest's hiring. A person familiar with his role said Mr. Oberfest will work on medication adherence efforts, the report said. The Mango Health app provides reminders of medication times.

-- In November, Mango Health said Yadin Shemmer would be CEO and said Mr. Oberfest would be a special adviser.
