--Apple Inc. (AAPL) said its HomePod speakers will go on sale in China next year, Bloomberg reports Wednesday.

--Apple's website in China said the device would go on sale in "early 2019," the report said, adding the speaker will cost about $358.

--Apple would be the first major smart speaker from the U.S. to have an item on the market in China, beating out rivals Amazon.com and Alphabet Inc., parent company of Google, the report said.
