Amazon.com Inc. said it is adding sustainability labels based on 19 certifications on products listed on its site.

The label, which the e-commerce giant calls Climate Pledge Friendly, will apply to grocery, household, fashion, beauty and personal-electronics categories, among some 25,000 products.

The company also introduced an externally validated certification called Compact by Design, which identified products with efficient designs.

Amazon said the Climate Pledge Friendly initiative backs its commitment to reach the Paris Agreement's terms ten years early and be net zero carbon by 2040.
