Waymo to Produce Self-Driving Cars in Detroit -Reuters

--Self-driving vehicle manufacturer Waymo said Tuesday it would repurpose a Detroit factory as a production facility, Reuters reports.

--The Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) company said it would work with American Axle & Manufacturing to lease an existing property in Detroit, with hopes the facility can be operational by the middle of this year, the report said.

--Waymo said in January it would put its first production facility in Michigan and would receive incentives from a public-private partnership in the state, the report said.
