HACKENSACK, New Jersey, March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ness Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:NSTC), a global provider of IT services and solutions, today announced that it has won a multi-million dollar contract to implement an Order Management and Fulfillment (OMF) project with Bezeq, Israel's national telecommunications provider. The Technologies and Systems Group (TSG) of Ness Technologies will implement the OMF solution. The first phase of the OMF project, as part of Bezeq's strategy for its Next Generation Networking program, will support order management and fulfillment for IP-related services such as VoIP, IP VPN, IP Centrex - as well as for ADSL products and services. A second (optional) phase of the project is planned to complete the replacement of existing legacy systems, supporting the rest of Bezeq's telephony services such as SDH, Ethernet and others. Ness won the bid over Amdocs, NetCracker, Hewlett Packard, and TCS based on its successful implementations of similar systems for other customers in Israel and worldwide. "The OMF system is a central component in Bezeq's Next Generation Networking program and our ability to provide advanced, efficient, reliable and high quality services," said Eli Frank, Bezeq's CIO. "The OMF system will enable integrated management of our network elements and our service provision process, from order receipt all the way to service activation over the network, thus shortening the time needed to provide services to our customers and the time needed to define and launch new services at Bezeq." "In this challenging time, service providers are facing the need to save expenses and reduce investments on network equipment, while maintaining high customer service levels," said Michael Zinderman, president, Ness TSG. "The new solution will enable Bezeq to streamline and improve the customer service provisioning process while optimally utilizing network resources. Bezeq's decision to award this important contract to Ness is an expression of confidence in TSG's extensive knowledge and experience in developing and implementing management systems and Operational Support Systems (OSS). Such knowledge and experience are key to success of such complex projects." Ness' OMF solution will be based on three software products from Telcordia that will enable Order Management and Fulfillment across its network: Telcordia(R) Expediter, Telcordia(R) Granite Inventory and Telcordia(R) Customer Number Manager. Expediter delivers customizable and scalable order management; Granite Inventory is an inventory management and provisioning product; and Customer Number Manager ("CNUM"), is a centralized database which manages telephone numbers.
