Intelligent Ultrasound Group PLC said Friday that an ultrasound
machine using its technology has received premarket clearance from
the Food and Drug Administration for sale in the U.S.
The London-listed developer of AI-based ultrasound and
simulation software said GE Healthcare's Voluson SWIFT ultrasound
machine incorporates GE Healthcare's SonoLyst software with
Intelligent Ultrasound's ScanNav Assist AI technology.
The company said SonoLyst is the first artificial-intelligence
software to be launched under its long-term license and
co-development agreement with GE Healthcare, and that the first
royalty per unit revenues are expected at the start of 2021.
"SonoLyst is an exciting new scanning aid in women's healthcare
and FDA clearance for the Voluson SWIFT opens up the important U.S.
market," the company said.
