Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said he is seeing a sustained trend toward "synchronous connection" like voice and video calling, a stronger need for community, and the desire for entertainment like video and gaming.

In terms of commerce, Mr. Zuckerberg said he doesn't know whether the dramatic increase in online commerce spending will continue more broadly, but that he hasn't seen any decline or return to baseline off the "quite elevated levels of commerce behavior" Facebook has seen from small businesses.
