Item 7.01.

Regulation FD Disclosure.

On March 4, 2020, Moderna, Inc. (the “Company”) provided an update regarding its participation in the creation of a potential vaccine to respond to the current public health threat of the coronavirus labeled SARS-CoV-2. The Company confirmed that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has completed its review of the Investigational New Drug application for mRNA-1273, the Company’s potential vaccine for SARS-CoV-2, and allowed it to proceed to the clinic (as announced on March 3, 2020 by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar). On February 24, 2020, the first clinical batch of mRNA-1273 was shipped to and received by the NIH for use in the Phase 1 clinical trial.
