Marriott International Extends Cancellation-Fee Waiver Through Mid-March Amid Coronavirus

Marriott International Inc. on Wednesday said it is extending
its waiver on cancellation fees through March 15 for reservations
at its hotels in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and
for guests from those areas traveling to other Marriott hotels.
The company, which has more than 350 properties in the Greater
China region, had waived the fees through Feb. 8.
"We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention and World Health Organization's statements regarding the
novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following the guidelines
from these agencies and the local health departments," the company
said in a statement.
