Gilead Sciences Names Quigley as Senior Vice President of Research Biology

Gilead Sciences Inc. said Wednesday that Michael Quigley joined the company as senior vice president of research biology.

Mr. Quigley joined the biopharmaceutical company from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where most recently he was vice president and head of Tumor Microenvironment Modulation Thematic Research Center and site head of the Redwood City, Calif., location.

The company also said it named Linda Higgins as senior vice president and head of external innovation. Ms. Higgins joined Gilead in 2010, leading a significant expansion of the company's Biology organization that included the establishment of Biologics and Biomarker functions, as well as the addition of inflammation, oncology and immunology discovery groups.
