Exelon Corp. (EXC) on Tuesday said its board raised the quarterly dividend by 5.5% to 38.25 cents a share from 36.25 cents.

The new payout, equal to $1.53 a year, represents an annual yield of about 3.24% based on Monday's closing price of $47.27, up from a yield of 3.07%.

The Chicago utility holding company said the increased dividend is payable March 10 to shareholders of record Feb. 20.
