--Uber Technologies Inc. (UBER) and Lyft Inc. (LYFT) plan to begin operating in the Vancouver area shortly, after receiving British Columbia approval, the Vancouver Sun reported.

--The report said the Insurance Corporation of B.C. didn't set a limit on the number of the vehicles, according to the report, which said the taxi sector had requested a cap.
