--Bayer AG is discussing settling Roundup weedkiller claims for about $10 billion, Bloomberg reports, citing people with direct knowledge of the negotiations.

--In some discussions, Bayer's lawyers said the company could set aside $8 billion to resolve the current cases and set aside $2 billion for potential future claims.

--Bayer acquired the weedkiller as part of its deal for U.S. agriculture giant Monsanto Co.
