Schneider Electric SE (SU.FR) said Thursday that Vinci Energies has agreed to buy its Converse Energy Projects business.

The German company said Converse, which specializes in energy distribution projects in Germany, will be sold to the Vinci SA-owned company for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is in line with Schneider's plan to optimize its portfolio and focus on its core energy-management and industrial-automation activities, the company said.

The transaction should close in the coming weeks, Scheider said.
