--Exxon Mobil may sell assets in Europe, Africa and Asia worth up to $25 billion as its focus moves to some major projects, Reuters reports Thursday, citing "three banking sources."

--The oil giant would sell most of its upstream oil and gas business in Europe, keeping only a stake in the Netherlands, the report said.

--Exxon Mobil is also looking to sell assets in Indonesia, Malaysia, Chad and Equitorial Guinea, among others, the report said.

--A spokesman for Exxon Mobil didn't comment specifically on the sale, but did say the company had previously said asset sales could reach $25 billion by 2025, according to the report.
