US Sen. Markey Suggests Tesla Disable 'Autopilot' Function --Reuters

--Tesla Inc. (TSLA) should disable the "autopilot" function on
its vehicles until new safeguards can be installed, a U.S. senator
said Wednesday, Reuters reports.
--Senator Ed Markey (D-Mass.), speaking at a Senate subcommittee
hearing on advanced vehicle technologies, said drivers can "go to
YouTube" to find a means to bypass the vehicles' safety
requirements, which include periodically placing their hands on the
steering wheel, the report said.
--"Tesla should disable Autopilot until it fixes the problem,"
Sen. Markey said, according to the report.
--Tesla didn't immediately comment, the report said.
