Total SA (FP.FR) said Wednesday that its fully owned Saft subsidiary will build a lithium-ion energy-storage system in northwest Finland.

The French energy giant said Saft received an order for three Intensium Max 20 High Energy containers from Finnish wind developer and operator TuuliWatti. The system has a storage capacity of 6.6 megawatts per hour and is set to deliver 5.6 megawatts of power for frequency regulation throughout its 15-year lifetime, Total said.
