--The chief executive of Poland's Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA (PKO.WA) said the bank would consider bidding for Commerzbank AG's (CRZBY, CBK.XE) Polish unit mBank (MBK.WA) if it were ever put up for sale, Reuters reported Monday.

--Zbigniew Jagiello, CEO of the state-run Polish bank, said if Commerzbank's mBank unit were put on the block, "then it is PKO BP's responsibility to analyze these assets," according to the report.

--He also said looking at the assets "does not automatically mean a desire to buy," the report said.

--Commerzbank is speaking with potential buyers of its Polish unit, and a formal sale process might take place in the future, according to the report.
