Accenture PLC's (ACN) on Thursday said its fourth-quarter net income and revenue increased.

Earnings were $1.13 billion, up 9.8% from the comparable quarter a year prior. Earnings were $1.74 a share, up from $1.58 a share.

Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting non-GAAP earnings of $1.71 a share.

Revenue was $11.06 billion, up 5.3%, meeting analysts' expectations.

Operating expenses climbed 5%. The company said its interest income and its provision for income taxes rose.
