Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) on Monday said it will open a pair of fulfillment centers in Ohio that will create more than 2,500 full-time jobs.

The online retail giant said the fulfillment centers, in Akron and Rossford, will each comprise more than 700,000 square feet and will use robotics to pick, pack and ship small items, such as books, electronics and toys.

Amazon said it currently has more than 8,500 employees in Ohio.
