Amazon.com Inc.'s (AMZN) biggest sale promotion, Prime Day, will run for 48 hours this year.

Prime Day 2019 will start at midnight PT on July 15, the company said Tuesday. Last year's Prime Day lasted 36 hours.

The sale will provide Prime members the chance to get deals on more than a million items, such as Alexa-enabled devices, the company said.

New this year is the ability for Prime members in the United Arab Emirates to shop during the sale, Amazon said. Members will also be able to shop from a dedicated page of Prime Day deals from U.S.-based innovators, artisans, and entrepreneurs, Amazon said. The small and medium-sized businesses will be listed under Amazon Storefronts, Amazon Handmade, Amazon Launchpad, and more.

In 2018, small and medium-sized businesses featured in Amazon's stores surpassed $1.5 billion in sales during Prime Day, the company said.
