Novatek (NVTK.MZ) on Monday said that director Andrey Akimov has bought $5.8 million worth of the company's global depository receipts.

The Russian gas company said Mr. Akimov, who is the chairman of Gazprombank (GZPR.RS), bought 33,500 GDRs at a price of $173.09 per unit.

Each GDR of Novatek represents 10 shares in the company, according to the London Stock Exchange.
