Oklahoma Court Refuses to Delay Opioid Trial -- Reuters

Dow Jones News
--A trial of opioid makers is still slated to open in Oklahoma
in May, after the state's top court refused requests for a delay,
Reuters reported Monday.
--The state's attorney general filed suit against Purdue Pharma
LP, Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries,
Ltd. (TEVA), three makers of opioid drugs used in pain management,
the report said.
--The suit alleges that the companies engaged in deceptive
marketing to play down the possible addiction risks of opioid
drugs, the report said.
--The three companies deny any wrongdoing, and had asked the
court to delay the start of the May 28 trial to allow them time to
review records, the report said.
