AbbVie Chief Financial Officer Chase to Retire; Michael Takes Post

AbbVie Inc. (ABBV) on Friday said Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer William Chase plans to retire in
mid-2019.
The North Chicago, Ill., biopharmaceutical company said it named
Robert Michael senior vice president and chief financial officer,
effective immediately.
AbbVie said Mr. Chase will serve as executive vice president of
finance and administration until he retires.
Mr. Michael, 48 years old, has been AbbVie's vice president and
controller since March 2017. He will continue to report to Mr.
Chase, the company said.
AbbVie said Brian Durkin, 58, succeeds Mr. Michael as vice
president and controller. Mr. Durkin has served as vice president
of internal audit since 2016.
