--Shell is negotiating with the Russian state-controlled oil company about the Tazovskiy project in the country's northern Yamal region, according to Reuters.

--The project has initial resources of 438 million tonnes of oil (3.2 billion barrels) and 186 billion cubic meters of gas, says Reuters.
