Intel Corp. (INTC) has acquired NetSpeed Systems Inc., a system-on-chip technology company that had received financing from Intel's venture arm.

Intel said Monday that NetSpeed co-founder and Chief Executive Sundari Mitra will lead the NetSpeed team as an Intel vice president.

San Jose-based NetSpeed closed a $10 million Series C round in 2016 led by Intel Capital with participation from SK Hynix Inc. (000660.SE) and Walden-Riverwood Ventures.

Terms of the acquisition weren't disclosed.
