Shares of three chip makers were mixed in late-morning trading, a day after the companies posted their latest earnings reports. Intel was down 8% to $47.95 a share as investors worried about production delays, while Lam Research shares jumped almost 8% to $191.31 after the company reported profit and sales that beat expectations on Thursday. Investors bid the stock of Cypress Semiconductor Corp. up almost 8% to $18.36. The company surpassed revenue and adjusted profit expectations of analysts polled by FactSet.
