FARNBOROUGH, England--The boss of General Electric Co.'s (GE)
aviation arm, David Joyce, on Monday said he expects to book more
than $15 billion in deals at the Farnborough Air Show taking place
this week outside London.
The deals will represent a mix of orders and commitments that
will need to be firmed up later, he told reporters.
GE will deliver more than 1,100 CFM International Leap engines
along with joint-venture partner Safran SA (SAF.FR), he said,
confirming guidance. Deliveries will grow to about 1,900 engines
next year and 2,300 Leap engines in 2020.
Mr. Joyce said that by 2025, the company could double its
military engine sales from $4 billion currently.
