--Amazon said it will create 2,000 permanent jobs in France in 2018 as it seeks to expand its distribution network in the country, Le Figaro reports.

--The company said the new roles will be distributed across its sorting and distribution centers, and at its offices in the Paris region, according to the newspaper.

--The 2,000 new jobs come in addition to 1,500 positions Amazon added in France in 2017, which will bring the company's total number of staff in the country to more than 7,500, Le Figaro said.
