Beazer Homes Names Jay Thrower as Area President for Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

announced today that Jay Thrower has joined the Company as Area
President for Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Allan Merrill, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “Jay
is a highly experienced and respected executive with a track record
of success in these markets and we are fortunate to add him to our
team. We have a long and successful history in South Carolina, and
I am convinced that with Jay’s leadership, we can do even better.
Jay has a mandate to further expand our business – including the
introduction of our active adult Gatherings communities in
Charleston. Jay will be based out of our Charleston Division
Office.”

Mr. Thrower began his homebuilding career in Charleston,
initially concentrating on community development and land
development. He has subsequently held both division and region
president positions for national homebuilders in a variety of
markets across the Southeastern United States. He holds a Bachelor
of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of
Georgia and a Master of Business Administration degree from the
University of South Carolina.
