The U.K.'s Serious Fraud Office has brought charges against
Barclays Bank PLC over a $3 billion loan provided to Qatar,
Barclays PLC (BARC.LN) said on Monday.
Barclays Bank has been charged with the same offence as its
parent company was charged with on June 20, 2017. These include a
charge of unlawful financial assistance relating to the $3 billion
loan to Qatar in November 2008.
Barclays and its subsidiary said that they intend to defend
themselves against the charges.
