NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Allstate
Roadside Services® is expanding its relationship with Lyft. The
roadside assistance leader and the fastest growing rideshare
company in the U.S. are now working together to pilot an
alternative transportation option for select drivers who need to
continue to their final destination after their vehicle breaks
down. Allstate successfully launched the Continued Mobility pilot
in 2017 to provide this service to drivers using one of its luxury
OEM brands and Allstate's Good Hands Rescue® service. Allstate
Roadside is planning on a rapid expansion of the Continued Mobility
program in 2018.
"We're taking our relationship with Lyft to a new level," said
Pam Dufour, president of Allstate
Roadside Services. "We are first-to-market in offering this kind of
innovative rideshare option for roadside customers. We are excited
to work side by side with Lyft to help get customers back on the
road and on their way as quickly as we can."
The new Continued Mobility Service is unique in the industry.
Traditionally, roadside assistance customers have had to resort to
either catching a ride in the tow truck or waiting for a friend or
family member to pick them up from the scene of a tow. With
Continued Mobility Service, Allstate Roadside Services is giving
customers the convenient option to continue on their way with a
ride from Lyft.
"We're excited to expand our relationship
with Allstate Roadside Services to provide a convenient
on-demand transportation solution for their customers who are in
need of roadside assistance," said David
Baga, chief business officer at Lyft. "By helping Allstate
Roadside Services and their customers get
drivers back on the road quickly and efficiently, we're
working towards our mission of improving people's lives with
the world's best transportation."
Allstate Roadside Services first began a relationship with Lyft
in 2015, when the ridesharing giant selected Allstate Roadside
Services to offer a roadside assistance option to drivers on the
Lyft platform. It's one of several ways that Lyft provides unique
programs to benefit the safety and peace of mind of the driver
community.
"Allstate Roadside Services is on the leading edge of product
and service innovation in our industry and beyond," said Dufour.
"Innovation is a critical element of our effort to provide a
complete customer experience that emphasizes service,
connectedness, safety and peace of mind."
