Item 8.01. Other Events.

 

On January 10, 2018, Seacoast Banking Corporation of Florida (the “Company”) issued a press release to announce the expected impact from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, enacted on December 22, 2017, on the Company’s net deferred tax asset in the fourth quarter of 2017. The Company also announced it expects to record gain on sale of Visa Class B common stock in the fourth quarter of 2017. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein in its entirety by reference.
