It's now official: Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) will vote for the
Republican tax bill, a spokeswoman said.
His support follows a decision by GOP leaders to make a
concession to Mr. Rubio by making a child-tax credit more generous.
Under the agreement, some $1400 of a $2000 child-tax credit would
be refundable to low-income families, or those whose income-tax
liability is too low to qualify for the full amount.
"Increasing the refundability of the Child Tax Credit from 55%
to 70% is a solid step toward broader reforms which are both
Pro-Growth and Pro-Worker," Mr. Rubio said on Twitter. "But there
is still much more to do in the months and years to come."
