American National offers safety information regarding California wildfires
October 11 2017 - 4:49PM
As wildfires sweep across northern California, the National Weather
Service advises a combination of strong winds, low relative
humidity and warm temperatures may continue to contribute to
extreme fire behavior through Thursday afternoon. Check your area
forecast for updates and abide by instructions from local
authorities to protect lives and property.
American National urges wildfire safety and offers the following
tips to help prepare yourself, loved ones and property from harm’s
way:
- Remain aware of weather conditions in your area.
- Secure your home and property.
- Make sure you and your family have a disaster plan in
place.
- Heed all red flag warnings and prepare to evacuate.
In the event policyholders experience wildfire-related claims,
American National has teams on standby ready to assist.
