Northern Trust Wealth Management announced today that Clint Zweifel has been appointed President of Northern Trust Wealth Management – Missouri.

Zweifel joined the company in February of this year as Chief Operating Officer-Missouri and his responsibilities have expanded to lead the Missouri-based team. The role was previously held by Thomas Collins, who continues to serve as Northern Trust Wealth Management Chairman-Missouri. The office offers investment management, trust administration and banking services for individuals, families and endowments.

“Clint brings to his role extraordinary knowledge of the Missouri market and of the financial services business due to the three terms he served as a member of Missouri’s state House of Representatives and his eight years as Missouri Treasurer,” said Mac MacLellan, Northern Trust Wealth Management Central Region President. “We are fortunate to have him driving success in this important region.”

Before joining Northern Trust as Chief Operating Officer in St. Louis, Zweifel served as Missouri 45th State Treasurer from 2009 to 2017. As Treasurer, he managed a $3.5 billion portfolio, led the state’s banking system and worked on a variety of issues such as retirement security, small business, agriculture, college savings, military installations and housing. Prior to this, he was a member of the State House of Representatives from 2002 to 2009, serving as a ranking member of the Ways and Means committee.

His service has included chairing the Missouri Military Partnership, Pension and Trust Committee of the National Association of State Treasurers and serving as a member of the Missouri Board of Fund Commissioners. He serves on the board of the Clark-Fox Policy Institute in the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in Saint Louis and also serves as a board member of the Concord Coalition, a non-partisan organization advocating for responsible fiscal policy. Additionally, he and his wife, Janice, have served as foster parents and been active in child advocacy issues.

A lifelong Missouri resident, Zweifel attended the University of Missouri at St. Louis, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and an MBA.

He will continue to be based in Northern Trust’s St. Louis office at 190 Carondelet Plaza, Suite 100 – St. Louis, Missouri 63105.
