Sandra A.J. Lawrence Joins Board of Directors of American Shared Hospital Services

AMERICAN SHARED HOSPITAL SERVICES (NYSE AMERICAN:AMS), a
leading provider of turnkey technology solutions for advanced
radiosurgical and radiation therapy services, announced today that
Sandra A.J. Lawrence has been appointed to the Company's Board of
Directors.
Sandra Lawrence is Chief Administrative Officer and Executive
Vice President of The Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics (CMH),
Kansas City's pediatric medical center and healthcare network, with
responsibility for integrated care, network solutions and managed
care operations, human resources, information systems, government
relations, occupational health, and other critical operations. From
2005 to 2016, she was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice
President of CMH and, prior to that, served on the hospital's
Governing Board and Foundation Board. Earlier, Lawrence worked at
Midwest Research Institute, an independent laboratory that conducts
scientific, applied research and technology development for
defense, energy and life sciences, most recently serving as Chief
Financial Officer and Senior Vice President.
Lawrence earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master's
in Architecture from MIT, and an A.B. from Vassar College.
