Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:NUAN) today announced that its Dragon TV has won a Technology & Engineering Emmy® Award in the “Contextual Voice Navigation for Discovering and Interacting with TV Content” category. Nuance’s Dragon TV has been recognized for its intuitive voice-activated navigation platform that empowers users to seamlessly search and discover content using just their voice. The Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards honor development and innovation in broadcast technology and recognize companies, organizations, and individuals for breakthroughs in technology that have a significant effect on television engineering.

Leveraging advances in deep learning and natural language understanding, Dragon TV is designed to give service operators and manufacturers the ability to easily integrate and deliver a conversational user experience for smart and connected TVs.  Nuance’s embedded and cloud-based voice technologies can be deeply integrated in a remote, TV, set-top box, or hands-free remote control or speaker, are fully customizable across languages, and are extensible across the Internet of Things ecosystem for a fully voice-enabled connected home experience.

The Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards will be presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) in partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) at the annual NAB Show on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 in Las Vegas.
