On September 5, 2017 , Bill Barrett Corporation (the "Company") issued a press release containing an update on certain 2017 operating guidance. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

Investor Events and Updated Corporate Presentation

Chief Executive Officer and President, Scot Woodall, will present at the Barclays CEO Energy-Power Conference at 12:25 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. The event will be webcast and will be available on the Company’s website at www.billbarrettcorp.com . An updated corporate presentation will be posted on the Company’s website by 7:00 a.m. Eastern time on September 6, 2017.
