Teammates Directly Affected by this Tragedy
Kindred Healthcare, Inc. (“Kindred” or the “Company”) (NYSE:
KND) today announced that the Company will make a $50,000 donation
to the American Red Cross in support of recovery efforts from
Hurricane Harvey in Texas and across the Gulf Coast.
The Company is also supporting its employees through its HOPE

provide monetary assistance to Kindred employees experiencing
financial hardship due to a catastrophic life event.
“We are focused on doing everything necessary to support our

operational, our patients safe, and our employees have support
under very difficult circumstances,” said Benjamin A. Breier,

health and hospice patients who need services.”
Mr. Breier continued, “Many of our employees are not only
stepping up to take care of our patients under very trying
