Companies Have Shared Examples of Nearly 200 Actions That They Are Taking to Advance Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace

Rockwell Automation joins the growing coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Only one month after 150 CEOs came together to launch the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, more than 75 additional CEOs have taken the pledge, committing themselves – and the organizations they lead – to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This extraordinary show of force builds on the energy from the launch and expands the potential impact of the pledge.

By signing on to this commitment, Rockwell Automation is pledging to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion topics. The collective of more than 250 signatories have shared examples of nearly 200 actions that they have already taken, exchanging tangible learning opportunities and creating collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub CEOAction.com.

“Change must start at the top, where leaders commit to measurable results and hold our teams accountable,” said Blake Moret, President and CEO of Rockwell Automation. “Through this program, Rockwell Automation and other companies will collectively drive a culture shift that advances diversity and inclusion in the workplace, where all employees can and want to do their best work every day.”

Organizations joining the pledge are taking a step toward effecting positive change. New research from the Center for Talent Innovation, a nonprofit think tank, found that when employees can discuss the topic of race relations at work, they feel significantly more included and that their ideas are being heard and recognized.

The CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ is led by a steering committee of CEOs and leaders from Accenture, BCG, Deloitte US, The Executive Leadership Council, EY, General Atlantic, KPMG, New York Life, Procter & Gamble, and PWC. The coalition represents nearly 70 industries, all 50 US States, and millions of employees globally.
