BLUE BELL, Pa., July 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Unisys
Corporation (NYSE: UIS) announced today that two Unisys Federal
executives were elected to leadership roles for two prominent
government/industry groups.
Jennifer Napper, group vice
president, Department of Defense and Intelligence Group at Unisys
Federal, was appointed to the board of directors for AFCEA
International, a non-profit organization that helps members advance
information technology, communications and electronics
capabilities.
In her new role with AFCEA, Napper, a retired Army major
general, will work with other board members to plan the
organization's strategy for providing a forum for members to
exchange information and explore issues relevant to its members in
information technology, communications and electronics for the
defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.
Susan Becker, vice president of
alliances at Unisys Federal, was re-elected to the position of vice
chair at large on the executive committee of ACT-IAC, an
organization dedicated to advancing government and industry
partnership through the improved application of IT. Becker began
her second two-year term in this position on July 1.
Becker was selected for a 2016 Federal Computer Week
Federal 100 Award, in part for her previous work with ACT-IAC. She
was recognized for her leadership of the successful 2015 ACT-IAC
Executive Leadership Conference, an annual conference that brings
together government and industry technology professionals to
discuss ways to address common challenges.
In her new term, Becker will continue her work developing and
improving ACT-IAC's conference program as well as working with
other members of the executive committee to establish the long-term
strategy and vision for the organization.
"Beyond their outstanding respective contributions to Unisys
Federal, Jennifer and Susan have demonstrated a willingness and
ability to assist the government IT community at large with issues
that affect us all," said Venkatapathi "PV" Puvvada, president of
Unisys Federal. "Their roles at AFCEA and ACT-IAC illustrate their
commitment to taking on additional responsibilities that can
ultimately help the U.S. federal government more effectively use
technology to improve national security and provide services to the
country's citizens."
