CALGARY, July 5, 2017 /CNW/ - Canadian Pacific (CP) announced today its sponsorship of the 2017 World Indigenous Nations Games for $50,000. The event, which takes place July 2-9 in the Edmonton area, celebrates games, arts, sports and Indigenous People from around the world.

"Canada is a nation blessed with the unique and beautiful traditions of Indigenous Peoples from coast-to-coast-to-coast, and CP is pleased to sponsor this celebration in Treaty 6 territory," said Keith Creel, CP's President and Chief Executive Officer. More than 400 athletes from 29 different countries are expected to participate in the event.
