appointment of Michael Fleischer as
President and General Manager. Fleischer will oversee DI's
wide-ranging work in building localized campaigns for clients
seeking to mobilize communities around a host of public affairs,
advocacy and corporate reputation issues.

support to spur action. Fleischer has served as the interim leader
since April 2016 and has been an

Fleischer has more than 20 years of experience in government and
public affairs, specializing in legislative and regulatory
communications, with expertise designing and implementing advocacy
campaigns at the federal and state level. Before joining DI,
Fleischer was a Vice President at Lighthouse Consulting Group, a
boutique firm specializing in energy and environmental issues.
Before that, he was Vice President of Public Affairs at Widmeyer
Communications. Fleischer began his career at the Washington
Post on the national news and politics desk. He is a graduate
of James Madison University and
Catholic University's Columbus School of Law.
