Optiv Security Announces Two New Offerings to Help Organizations Build Identity Centric Security Programs

-- Industry’s First Offerings Developed from
Work of Identity Defined Security Alliance --
Optiv Security, a market-leading provider of end-to-end cyber
security solutions, today announced the availability of two new
identity and access management (IAM) offerings that support
organizations trying to put identity at the core of their cyber
security programs. The first is Optiv’s Identity Centric Security
Workshop which provides an overview of IAM and related trends and
vendors, assesses their current state and maturity, and offers
recommendations on how to develop and implement a successful IAM
program. The second offering is Optiv’s Ping Identity –
Netskope Integrated Solution which enables context-based
authentication and access policy enforcement for cloud
applications, contributing to enhanced security, while giving users
seamless access when appropriate.
Optiv’s new IAM offerings are the industry’s first to result
from the collaborative efforts of the Identity Defined Security
Alliance (IDSA). This community of security vendors, solution
providers and end-user organizations is focused on establishing
industry best practices and standards for building successful
identity centric security programs. Optiv developed its new
offerings in response to organizations’ specific IAM needs
identified by the IDSA.
“Enterprise-class organizations are concerned with the growing
risk of security breaches caused by stolen or misused credentials.
They continue to make significant investments in IAM and cyber
security technologies but quickly find that point products alone
will not solve their identity problems,” said Bryan Wiese, Optiv’s
vice president and general manager of identity and access
management. “Optiv’s new offerings go beyond a traditional IAM
program and integrate existing IAM with other cyber security
technologies to drive positive outcomes. As a result, clients can
optimize their cyber security investment, while controlling risk,
as IT infrastructures converge.”
Details of Optiv’s new IAM offerings include:
- Identity Centric Security (ICS)
Workshop – This multi-day workshop takes an identity centric
approach to security as defined by the IDSA, enabling organizations
to leverage existing cyber security and IAM investments. The
workshop helps organizations prioritize identity goals based on
tactical business objectives; assesses current-state pain points,
organizational changes and “red flags”; and results in
recommendations for a customized ICS roadmap and implementation
plan.
- Ping Identity – Netskope Integrated
Solution – This solution, which includes IDSA supported use
cases, combines Optiv’s strategic consulting, proprietary software
and implementation services with cloud application access data
collected from Netskope’s cloud security platform and centralized
access management from Ping Identity. The integration enables
context-based authentication and access policy enforcement.
Optiv’s new IAM offerings are an integral component of the
company’s comprehensive, integrated solutions and services that
enable organizations to plan, build and run successful cyber
security programs. Optiv will feature its new IAM offerings at
booth 218 of the Cloud Identity Summit taking place at the Sheraton
Grand Chicago, June 19-22, 2017.
Supporting Quotes:
- “The fluid nature of cloud services and
user identity have resulted in massive security challenges for the
enterprise. This requires new approaches and best practices — two
things core to the IDSA,” said Scott Hogrefe, vice president of
marketing for Netskope. “Netskope is delighted to see Optiv’s Ping
Identity – Netskope Integrated Solution take flight to provide
context-based authentication and access policy enforcement for all
cloud applications. This is another great example of how Optiv has
managed to dive deep into customer needs to build proprietary
services that use best-of-breed technology from a vast ecosystem of
partners.”
- “Ping is pleased to see the continuing
progress of the IDSA and to support Optiv’s creation of new
offerings in direct response to market needs,” said Brian Bell,
chief marketing officer for Ping Identity. “Optiv’s Ping Identity —
Netskope Integrated Solution simplifies the way enterprises deploy
access management for their cloud applications and keeps identity
at the center of security, aligning with the principles of the IDSA
as set out by founding members, Ping and Optiv, at its
inception.”
