On May 23, 2017, Wayne C. Sales gave notice of his intention to resign from the Board of Directors of SUPERVALU INC. (the “Company”) effective immediately. Mr. Sales’ resignation occurred in connection with him becoming an operating partner of a newly formed investment fund. In connection with this change in Mr. Sales’ professional commitments, Mr. Sales has determined to resign from the Company’s Board of Directors.
