Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain
Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
(b) On May 19, 2017, the Company appointed Annette L. Such, Vice President,
Finance and Chief Accounting Officer of Amgen Inc. (the Company), to serve as Vice President and Chief Audit Executive, effective upon the filing of the Companys second quarter 2017 Form
10-Q
with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the Form
10-Q).
Therefore, upon the filing of such Form
10-Q,
Ms. Such will step down as the Companys
Chief Accounting Officer and will no longer serve as the Companys principal accounting officer. In connection with this change, David W. Meline, the Companys Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, in addition to his other
roles, will act as the Companys principal accounting officer until such time as a new Chief Accounting Officer is appointed.
